National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the oldest, biggest and most recognizable technical university of Greece, with 9 engineering departments covering various engineering fields, such as Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Naval, etc. Since my wish have been to study in the technical field, it was for me the “easiest” choice to study in this particular institution. NTUA is well known for its research, world-known professors and updated educational program. Last but not least, it has one of the most historical and beautiful campuses in Greece, located in both the centre of Athens and the suburbs (Zografou city).
NTUA is the oldest and allegedly the most prestigious technical university in Greece. The fact is that a lot of its graduates are well-established researchers in well-known universities or even in industrial positions
There is always room for improvement so I would advice NTUA to give more attention to emphasize more on the internship opportunities for all engineering schools.
It’s the study programme, the environment, the healthy competition between your classmates and the unlimited opportunities during and after your studies that makes NTUA one of the best universities for me. :)
As afore-mentioned there are plenty of well-established researchers that are graduates of NTUA. Even though there is no established mentoring program, you eventually meet people from the same faculty with whom you might find more in common because of a similar background.
